Pilgrim Simone venderBosch wrote a poem that she thinks fits best with the route map 21, Grave-Velp.
When walking becomes a standstill
When walking becomes a standstill
And you embrace the silence
Take your thoughtful step by step
Slowly let go of that which is leading you
You connect with what sets you free
When walking becomes a standstill
And you embrace the silence
Do you wander, but never go wrong
Accept your vulnerability and pain gratefully
Does it get you where you need to be at that moment
When walking becomes a standstill
Nature and the elements are unconditionally by your side
Get your comfort and love from everything around you
In wonder, you’re never alone
When you embrace silence
Will you be speechless with awe
Does the silence give you so much power
I’m more than I ever thought
When walking becomes a standstill
And you embrace yourself
It’s going to be quiet
And I’m free
