“We met a lot of positivity” (pilgrims Keito van der Linden-Wisdom and Josselijn Bunte)

With the guide in hand,

the lace around the wrist,

the backpack girded

and the heart and head full of expectation,

we left Amsterdam on September 10, 2017

to walk the Walk of Wisdom .

Josselijn and Keito, mother and son and in the backpack ashes of Clare Wisdom, Keito’s wife who passed away in 2015. At two beautiful places during our trip, Keito scattered ashes from Clare. For the first time in years, we went on holiday together through different provinces and a very varied landscape.

On our path came heavy storms and pouring rain, but above all lots of sun, blue skies and white clouds. Rippling clear brooks and the most diverse mushrooms and colorful fungi. Beautiful double-muscled cows and endless corn fields with well-filled cobs. And every time a new church tower appeared on the horizon.

The people we met along the way were helpful. And as Amsterdammers, we noticed that everyone greeted us in a friendly way.

We met a lot of positivity and that gave us energy and strength. It was an enrichment on a personal level and also for our relationship of mother and son. Even more understanding for each other!

They walked the Walk of Walk of Wisdom together. To enjoy it and as an ode to Keito’s late wife Clare Wisdom.
