Walk of Wisdom at Fiets-en Wandelbeurs this weekend

From Friday 28 February to Sunday 1 March is the Fiets-en Wandelbeurs in Utrecht. The organization is so sympathetic to set up a real pilgrim pavilion where small foundations like ours get a free stand.

There is a lot to see in the field of walking and cycling with many lectures (link). Traditionally, among other things, there is a test track with the latest (electric) bicycles, which always gives me a nice amusement park feeling. The range of walking and pilgrimage is exhaustive: you are sure to get inspiration for new tours and the great thing is that thanks to the sponsorship by the fair, there are also many small-scale and non-commercial initiatives.

It is a challenge not to come home with all kinds of ‘gadgets’: things that you don’t need, but seem handy and cheap. There are tons of offers for the hiker those days: from unique anti-blister insole to massage pillow or just a free lottery ticket if you sign up for the newsletter.

It’s a good idea to take a break from all the impressions every now and then. You are welcome at our stand: on Friday co-developer Manja Bente and her daughter Hannah (also marker). Saturday our volunteers Anja van Weegen and Ryon Groenen (one of our donativo host families) and Sunday board member Ton Reijnders and his partner Marga.
