We are urgently looking for a language-sensitive editor-in-chief for our website.

Job description editor-in-chief website (m/f)
Volunteer vacancy – as of mid-June

We are looking for an accurate and language-sensitive editor-in-chief who will take care of the story of the Walk of Wisdom on the website and keep it up to date. An important assignment: the website is our gateway to the route and we want it to radiate a warm welcome with valuable information. For the technology behind the website, we have another volunteer.

Your tasks

  • Final editing of the fifteen fixed pages on the website about route, foundation, overnight stays, latest route news, etc.. The pages should be reviewed and updated from time to time.
  • Final editing of the events on the agenda.
  • Editing blogs and news items or reports from pilgrims.

The final editors ask for about two to four hours a week. If you want, you can also participate in writing your own articles in consultation with the editor-in-chief.

What do we ask for?

  • Good command of Dutch with a feeling for neat text and image presentation.
  • Experience with posting content on the internet (we work with WordPress) or the digital skill to learn this.
  • Inspiration for the values of the Walk of Wisdom and living in or around Nijmegen (we also like to keep physical contact).

What we offer

  • Opportunity to participate in an inspiring new pilgrimage route.
  • A warm team of fellow volunteers.
  • Free participation in our pilgrim meetings, drinks and silent walks.

Help us spread our message of reflection and connection on the web. Tip us or mail an application with your motivation to [email protected] before 10 July. You will always get a response.

If you have any questions, please email Damiaan Messing at [email protected]. Or call Manja Bente on 06 109 48 951.
