Tip: start early! (For example, with the pilgrim’s lauds)

Tip with this warm weather, but also beyond: start your pilgrimage early.

In the light of the early morning you see the world differently, especially in the summer when everyone is asleep at 06:00, while nature has already woken up. You have plenty of time to take it easy or have already arrived at your sleeping place by lunchtime. Opportunity to rest, reflect, laze around. In the hot weather, you can also prevent heat stroke.

Are you looking for a moment of reflection with others? Every first Saturday, our pilgrim lauds are held at sunrise in our starting and ending point of the Stevenskerk. We make a silent tour through the majestic heart of Nijmegen to listen to a text from Seasons of Life: a contemporary book of hours and pilgrims. The meeting lasts fifteen minutes.
