This Sunday the fifth silent walk

Sunday 9 September is our fifth silent walk in the series of ten: the Walk of Wisdom in a year.

Accompaniment and theme

This time the guidance is in the hands of Marlou Elsen and René van Nieuwkuijk. Marlou is a coach in Nijmegen and also guides silent walks with horses (link). Together with our regular planner of this series of silent walks René, she chose the following theme:

Downshifting, working quietly from your source.

The theme is taken from the book by Jaap Voigt: Living and working in the rhythm of the seasons.

The time of growth has come to an end; The expansive feeling of summer is waning. This can be at odds with the many start-up activities, which usually take place after the summer. To prevent yourself from going crazy, it is essential that you know where you are in your element and work from your inspiration.

In what area do you have personal mastery?
During the break, you will have the opportunity to draw your personal mastery and/or write something about it. Nature and hiking will probably provide you with images. Answers that you carry with you and that may come to you from the silence.

Walk

The walk goes through the beautiful Hatertse Vennen and runs from Malden to Nederasselt. The distance is about 18 kilometers. For those who find this too much, there is the possibility to take a bus back earlier. We take a break in the garden bird sanctuary of Ronald Baksteen and Machteld Meij, one of the most popular host families on the pilgrimage route.
