On Tuesday 5 September, the Walk of Wisdom and the Marikenhuis are organising an evening on the theme ‘Walking with loss’. How can walking a pilgrimage route help you to become ‘whole’ again after a serious illness or the loss of a loved one?
The evening will take place in the Marikenhuis, the walk-in centre for people affected by cancer, at the Slotemaker de Bruïneweg 163 in Nijmegen.
There will be a short presentation about the Walk of Wisdom and an exchange between the participants about how walking a walk can contribute to a coping process.
Pilgrim André Leijssen bears a number of poems that he wrote on the pilgrimage after the death of his daughter Josien. Mark Schilders makes music. Three starter packs for the Walk of Wisdom will be raffled off among the participants.
Participation is free. Doors open at 19.00 hrs. The program starts at 7:30 p.m. The end is around 21:00.
