Seasons of Life – a contemporary book of hours and pilgrims

The unique edition of our pilgrim’s book of hours is finished

Seasons of Life was published at our opening in 2015. The book contains stories by Tommy Wieringa and Herman Wijffels, among others, about an important life experience and 40 reproductions of works of art. The originals of these works of art – the miniatures – have now been bundled together with the stories into one special edition. The book has been worked on for more than a year and a half by designers Anne Louman and Petra van Bloemendaal.

The book will be given to us as a gift on May 27 by the publishers Theo van Stiphout and Sytske Zwart of Intermedi-Art Art Affairs. The condition is that we sell it before 2020 for at least €15,000 and make arrangements for an exhibition in the Stevenskerk. If it succeeds, we and the church may divide the proceeds. If it doesn’t work, the book goes to the publisher’s private collection.

For the time being, the book will be placed next to the statue of our Pilgrim in the Stevens Church.
