The 5,000th pilgrim is coming…
We have great news: the starter pack for the 5,000th pilgrim has been packed!
Barely 4.5 years after our opening – on 21 June 2015 – and with a major provincial prize in our pocket – the Gelderland Landscape Election – we can safely say that our pilgrimage route has proven its right to exist. The pilgrims are increasingly coming from Flanders, where we recently did a promising exploration for a Walk of Walk of Wisdom Belgium.
Festive starter pack – who?
To celebrate this special milestone, we have set aside the 5,000th starter pack. We are going to raffle it among all pilgrims who register in the coming month. The lucky winner will not only receive a refund of the registration fee, but also a special gift package with overnight stays, meals, drinks or cake, offered by stopping places along the route. For the pilgrim who says yes to this: this ‘journey inwards’ also radiates a bit outwards.
What the treats are remains exciting for a while: we have just put out the question. But the first fêterings have already arrived and oh… If only we could draw lots ourselves????.
Do you want to have a chance to win a pilgrimage with a festive edge and do you think it’s fine to take a picture every now and then to thank sponsors with some PR? Anyone who registers between Sunday 10 November and Tuesday 10 December will automatically be entered. We ask who wins if they appreciate it, so you can always say no. The 5,000th starter pack is for a pilgrim who will complete the Walk of Wisdom by April 2020 at the latest.
