To all those who showed interest in the beginning of our new pilgrimage tradition this year: thank you. For the 210 people who together sponsored €10,000 and for the first 420 pilgrims: thank you. For the 25 who wanted to advance €250 for investments: thank you!
Thank you also for all the people who offered to help in 2016. We feel supported by so much trust and after a short hibernation after January 15, we are going to work hard to make something beautiful out of it.
Below is the pre-announcement, but now the wish: a little wisdom for ourselves, everyone and the world in the new year.
Love for the landscape On Sunday 19 June, we will organise a festive departure ceremony for the first pilgrims of the summer. Theme: love for the landscape.
In addition to inspiring speakers and music, we are looking for nature projects along the route for which pilgrims can get sponsored and communal eating and sleeping options to function as a pilgrim’s hostel during that week.

Pilgrim’s Book of Hours An exciting development for our pilgrim’s book of hours: in February, publisher Intermedi-Art Kunstzaken will bundle the original works of art and texts into one unique edition.
The popular edition with reproductions is for salevia our website. The one-of-a-kind edition will go on sale from next year.
The book must raise at least €15,000 and the proceeds will be divided between the Walk of Wisdom foundation and the Stevens Church.
Departure ceremonies Starting in April, we will organize small departure ceremonies in the Stevenskerk with a number of ritual supervisors. Pilgrims are waved goodbye with a song and a recital. Photo: Jan Heijmans
Preparation day 16 April On Saturday 16, teachers from the Han Fortmann center will organize a preview day for walking a ‘walk of wisdom’. A day of walking together, having lunch and thinking about important themes for a pilgrimage (more). Photo: Bart Kouwenberg
