Source of inspiration: cordiality
I hope that one of the main sources of inspiration of the walk of wisdom will be cordiality. The generous gesture, the pleasure of giving. We do not all have to tear up our cloaks and hand them out, but I hope that many people will appear along and along the route who know the secret of generosity. People who know how wonderful it is to give something away without expecting something of the same value in return. What is surprising is that in my experience you often get much more back than you give and often in a form that is priceless: friendship, love. Support. A very pleasant evening.
Give of what you have the most- I read it once in the Happinez. A beautiful saying and a secret that is kept in many religions and cultures. It is the pleasure of the ‘immaterial’ when money, calculation or efficiency do not reign supreme. Cordiality is a great pleasure and therefore worth striving for in our deeply hedonistic time where we want to get the most out of life because many of us no longer believe that what comes after life is more important.
Cordiality, how do you organize that? It’s such a spontaneous and natural thing, you can’t arrange or fix that. All you can do is a form of gardening: plant a seed and cultivate the right conditions for it to mature. As far as that is concerned, I have a nice message: the first buds are coming out!
