Route camera is on its way

Route-camera-Small.JPG

On 19 September, Damiaan Messing took Ditgeeftzin.nl’s route camera with him during his walk on the Walk of Wisdom. This route camera is a kind of spin-off of the two Zincameras that are currently going through the country. They challenge people to take one picture of what gives their lives meaning. The route camera on the Walk of Wisdom tries to challenge people to look at what they encounter along the way in a different way. The challenge is to take one photo of an inspiring place along the route. A place that touches you in one way or another or that symbolizes a theme during your pilgrimage.

The camera roams the route and can pop up anywhere and be left behind. It’s an exciting ritual, no one knows how it’s going to go. That’s what makes it fun. The camera can be left at the points where bird rings are collected. This way, the next pilgrim can take him with him until the camera arrives at the start and end point, the Stevens Church. Of course, the camera may also be passed on to other pilgrims on the route. A booklet travels with the camera where you can write a story with the photo. When the camera is back in the church, the photos are placed on www.ditgeeftzin.nl and www.walkofwisdom.org .

You can also participate without this route camera. Send one photo of your walk with short text (maximum 150 words) to [email protected]

The first picture has already arrived. It is a photograph of an autumn leaf that whirled to the ground in front of the maker’s feet.

Falling autumn leaf

Two passes and some wind
all the time it took
the green has turned light brown
The Juicy Dry

The connectedness of a tree
Replaced
for pure air

In the rocking hands
of a breeze
To the calm brokenness
of old stone

Fresh Again
Equally
