Pilgrim’s report Dineke de Velde Harsenhorst in magazine Speling
The theological/mystical scientific journal Speling has published a story by one of our pilgrims and musician at the departure ceremonies: poet and songwriter Dineke de Velde Harsenhorst.
“Slack is looking for contemporary spirituality and mysticism. The reflection does not only focus on recognizable religious expressions and forms. Slack also tries to make the undercurrent of everyday life visible. Slack is curious about what is going on in culture and society. […] Because When spirituality starts to float and loses touch with everyday reality, then […] it loses track.”
Dineke wrote the report Foot for feet in the special issue Roads. You can download the pdf of Dineke’s story here .
She walks, she walks
She loves and hopes
She’s free
in the wind around her head
all her thoughts blow away
She believes
She’s on her way
Every step takes her further away from home
And the blood that spurts in her veins
Follows her feet
Follows the trail
Foot by foot
she walks on
She walks through forests and fields and lives
She laughs in villages and towns and gives
She gives her heart
that now has wings
to the infinite hold
that surrounds her
In their flight, birds fly with hair
Of always and ever they recognize each other
Her heart flies high
It follows the trail
and her feet …
that run through
[…]
