Picking up litter and going to the movies (note: adapted program)

We are going to clean up a part of the Waal beaches in Nijmegen and then we all go to the movies. Will you join us?
Please note: a previously announced morningwalk of 10.00 am will not take place.

Saturday 6 April: 13.00h, litter picking
pedestrian bridge the Ooypoort Nijmegen (under the old Waal bridge, on the side of the center)

We gather at the pedestrian bridge the Ooypoort and from there we go ‘beach and polder beachcombing’ for an hour. This part of the Ooijpolder is at the beginning of our pilgrimage route and this is how we help to keep it clean. A small act of resistance against the ‘plastic soup’ at that!

Participation is free, of course. We provide bags and have skewers and gloves. But it doesn’t hurt to bring your own gloves as well.

Saturday 6 April: 3.30 pm, film ‘the Way’
Filmhuis O42, Oranjesingel 42 Nijmegen

The Filmhuis O42 will screen the film ‘the Way’. A beautiful film about a down-to-earth businessman whose son dies at the beginning of his Camino to Santiago de Compostela. The father decides to continue his son’s journey with his ashes in his luggage.
Prior to this, pioneer of the Walk of Wisdom Damiaan Messing will give a short presentation.

For volunteers who come to help with litter picking: €5,-. At the door of O42 itself it is €10,-

PLEASE NOTE: the previously planned morning walk at 10.00 am from the Stevenskerk will not take place!
