Our new (free) departure ceremonies for 2024 are online

You can now register for our (free) departure ceremonies of 2024. For a bit of reflection and connection at the beginning of your journey. Pilgrims, farewellers and other interested parties: welcome!

– every 1st Saturday of the month: in the 750-year-old Stevenskerk. A little after sunrise we make a quiet tour of the abandoned church to listen to a story from our first book of hours, Seasons of Life.

– every 3rd Saturday of the month: in the +- 1,000 year old Nicholas Chapel. At 09.45h we gather on the Grote Markt of Nijmegen to walk in silence to the chapel. Here there will be live music and an opportunity to set an intention for your trip.

Thanks to all the volunteers – masters of ceremonies, musicians, readers – and the Stevenskerk and St. Nicholas Chapel of the Valkhof Association Nijmegen for their warm hospitality.
