Musicians Dineke de Velde Harsenhorst and Niek Edeling Saturday at Departure Ceremony

“In the wind around her head, all her thoughts blow away. She’s on her way, she’s on her way’

Dineke de Velde Harsenhorst and Niek Edeling will provide the music during the Departure Ceremony of the Walk of Wisdom this Saturday (18 March). By now, we can count Dineke and Niek among the regular musicians of our pilgrimage route, the Walk of Wisdom . They have played regularly at departure ceremonies and events. Dineke sings songs that have matured through experience and time, self-written songs, sensitively accompanied by Niek.

René van Nieuwkuijk will talk about his experience with the Walk of Wisdom during the ceremony. He walked the route last year and was guided by a coach from the Han Fortmann Center during the preparation and running.

Then another couple of pilgrims set off on their journey. Anyone who wants to come and wave them goodbye is very welcome. 

Please note: this time the Departure Ceremony will be in the Valkhof Chapel (in the Valkhofpark in Nijmegen) and not in the Stevenskerk. 

The walk-in is from half past eleven, at 11.00 am the Departure Ceremony starts.

The ceremony is also the start of the first guided silent walk with the theme Germination. Please register separately for this.
