Special news: we have permission (under certain conditions) to have Mariken van Nimweghen thrown from the Stevenskerk by the devil Moenen on July 18. The stunt is part of one of our short sponsored runs for nature and landscape projects on the Walk of Wisdom: the Summer Pilgrimage.

In the riot police story, Mariken breaks with the devil, who furiously throws her down from high above the Stevens Church. She survives and goes to Rome as penance. In our (stubborn) version, she walks the Walk of Wisdom, in search of her own story.

The sponsored run on July 18 at 12.30 p.m. is for free opening of the Stevens Church, our start and end point. Participation is €5 and goes entirely to the cause. Want to know more? Check out https://walkofwisdom.org/schrijf-je-in/zomerpelgrimage.html
