Halfway along the route is a 12th century church, which has served as an art exhibition space for 40 years. For many pilgrims, the church in Velp (Grave) is a pleasant surprise. When you pass by, check if the door is open (free entrance). If closed, you can walk on to light a candle in the 18th century monastery “Bij de Capuchins”.

Until 16 April: photo exhibition of the Graafse Sociëteit “Tot Nut ende Vermaeck”. The Society dates from 1788, but the photos are definitely contemporary. Here’s a picture of Albert Hofman:
