Minimum starting donation to €33,- / for minimums €15,-
The minimum donation for our starter packs is €33 from January 22, 2023,-. Thanks to the donation donations, we can run our foundation, develop the route and purchase the materials for the starter kits. For people who live at or below the income support level, the starter package is €15 (see below).
Starter Kits
The starter kits include the route guide, the pilgrim’s lace with your unique registration number and the bamboo pin of our symbol of the artists Huub and Adelheid Kortekaas. Lake.

Are you living at or below the income support level?
Although we desperately need the donations – we do not receive a subsidy – we would like to keep the Walk of Wisdom accessible to people who live at or below the level of welfare. That is why we are making 20 starter packs available for a minimum donation of €15 including €4.45 postage. See below.
Do you have plenty of money and do you want to support this action? Then make a donation via this link. We will then increase the number of starter packs for people with a minimum income.
How do you qualify?
- Ask [email protected] if there are any sponsored starter packs available and tell them that you want to be eligible. You don’t have to prove this, we assume good faith. While stocks last!
- Make €15 to the Walk of Wisdom foundation, NL56 TRIO 0254 4007 36. Mention in description “sponsored starter package”.
- Let us know that it was successful and provide us with your name and address details. You will then receive the starter pack and the links with GPS and accommodation list with campsites and host families.
- Tip: become a member of the Friends on the Bicycle Foundation for €8. Hikers can also spend the night here for €25 including breakfast (children up to 12 years €14) and there are many members on the route.
