Good news: many interesting symbolic forerunners have been added who are writing a contribution to our book of hours and pilgrims Seasons of Life. Furthermore, the route committee of the Wandelnet foundation has informally announced that for the time being we can use the Streekpad Nijmegen free of charge as a pioneer path for the development of our pilgrimage route.
The only bad news is that the search for funding is not yet progressing.

Pioneer route approved You don’t just develop a new route in the Netherlands: it often takes years before you have permission from landowners. That is why we want to use an existing path: the 117-kilometre-long Streekpad Nijmegen. The route committee of owner Stichting Wandelnet has now informally announced that we can use the path free of charge for the time being. When the route ‘runs’ and the Walk of Wisdom has income, we can talk about a real transition.
Funding is not yet forthcoming
It really remains ‘pioneering’ for a while
VSeveral funds have rejected our project application. Our plan was ‘too utopian’, it would ‘not help people concretely’ , or it was outside their field of work due to our international ambition and the part of Germany of the pioneering route, i.e. the Netherlands. This means that for the time being we cannot set up a professional pilgrim office and we will continue to pioneer on a voluntary basis. You can:
