Love for the Jansberg: Solidarity action for nature after vandalism

This month, vandals attacked a more than century-old ivy with an axe in the Sint Jansberg nature reserve. The ivy grows along the route and is regularly photographed by pilgrims. It is unlikely that the monumental vine will survive: the vandal has cut into it too deeply.
It may be that the destroyer thought he was saving the tree. That would be a tragic misunderstanding: the ivy in question has its own sap flow and did not harm the tree. In any case, out of love for the beautiful area, we are starting a solidarity action for Natuurmonumenten, which manages it. We would like to let you know that there are also a lot of people who care about the area!
Do you also like the Jansberg and Mookerheide? Then transfer some to NL69INGB0000009933 t.n.v. Natuurmonumenten with reference “Sint Jansberg Plasmolen”. Or go to this link. We already donated €100 thanks to the money we saved from the registration fees of pilgrims (our landscape contribution).
Of course, you can also volunteer or become a member of Natuurmonumenten: link.
