Landscape contribution: pilgrim’s path de Waalgaard

Waalgaard pelgrimspaadje

Nice: we recently got our own ‘pilgrim path’. In Weurt, municipality of Beuningen, right on our route. There is the Waalgaard stop, just below the dike. This pick-your-own orchard wants to help make agriculture more sustainable and we are happy to support such initiatives. That’s why we adopted one of their paths and were allowed to give it a name as a thank you. It became: pilgrim’s path.

In the Waalgaard, pilgrims can ‘score’ their bird ring Beuningen . For the pilgrim’s lace. Meer.

“We believe that agriculture can be done differently. With local involvement. With a high biodiversity, and space for nature. And with appreciation for the farmer. At the Waalgaard, we are developing a food forest orchard that aims to be an example of this. Productive and inclusive. You can contribute to that.”
