Landscape contribution: €555 for the Dutch Society for the Protection of Birds
And again, thanks to donations from pilgrims for our starter kits, we were able to do something good for nature: €555 for the Bird Protection Society.
With 160,000 members, this Dutch association is committed to the protection of all wild birds and their habitats. Thanks in part to the Dutch Society for the Protection of Birds, nature-inclusive construction has recently become high on the social agenda. In nature-inclusive construction , new houses are fitted with bricked-in nesting boxes and project developers are specifically stimulated to engage in nature development such as hedges and green roofs.
The flight of a bird
At the Walk of Wisdom , we love birds. The flight of a bird in the sky is a symbol of freedom. But birds always remain connected to their habitat: without it, they cannot live. These are the values of the Walk of Wisdom in a nutshell: the freedom to go your own way, in connection with the living environment. Salient detail: the outline of our route resembles that of a flying pigeon.
