Join our new series of silence walks

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, a new series of 10 silent walks will start: ‘The Walk of Walk of Wisdom in a year round’.

Will you walk with us? You can now register for the entire series. We donate the proceeds to a nature organization along the route, for example for a new bench.

You walk together in silence for a year in ten stages along the entire Walk of Wisdom . In a small group, every first Saturday of the month. Together with up to 20 others, you will walk the beautiful route under the guidance of two cordial volunteers. There will be an opportunity for exchange during the break. The volunteers choose a few texts that they read aloud for reflection.

The distance of the silent walks is approximately around 17 kilometers with one peak of 23 kilometers. The walks can sometimes be quite tough with height differences. Hiking experience and basic fitness are therefore recommended.

The hikes

For the first stage we gather at 9:30 am on the Grote Markt of Nijmegen at the statue of Mariken. We walk together to the chapel for a departure ceremony with live music.
For the other tours we gather in Nijmegen, centrally at train/bus and from there we leave for the point where we ended last time.

Participation in the entire series costs €55,-. Tickets are available here.
