At the beginning of this year, Said Bouharrou and Piet Muller received the Ien Dales Prize , among others. for their initiative for the ‘Nijmegen Peace Declaration’, a declaration of peace by leaders of Christians, Muslims and Jews In response to the increasing tensions in the world around religion. Mayor Bruls accompanied the statement.

Inspired by the positive impact of their peace initiative, both men are now working on a ‘declaration of peace for all’ that they want to launch in the national peace week. Details to follow.
