Het Weurtsche Straatje – only change to the new edition of the route guide
Our new edition of the route guide is out! It is already the fifth edition in four years and this time in a record edition of 2,000 copies. Does that make the other editions obsolete? No, the route has remained almost entirely the same. With one small change.
The Weurtsche Straatje
Map 32 shows an old path parallel to the dike – over which the route went – accessible: the Weurtsche Straatje. Workers from Weurt used to use this to walk to the brick factory on the Waal. The province of Gelderland has made the beautiful pedestrian path accessible again.
Pilgrims can now continue to stroll at low tide from Winssen on map 30 to Weurt on map 32. Only for your bird ring at the Dijkmagazijn you have to go to the dike or you can get the ring at café het Centrum in Weurt.
If you have previous editions, you will soon be able to follow the marking on the spot (still to be adjusted). Until then, follow the walking route that is already marked with poles. This will automatically take you to the Weurtsche Straatje. An asset to the route.
