Herberg ‘t Zwaantje sponsors 1 kilometer

Great news in our crowdfunding campaign ‘100 meters of wisdom’: inn ‘t Zwaantje in Mook has made 1 kilometer of our 136 kilometer long route possible. Would you also like to participate in the campaign? We could really use your help, click here. 

In inn ‘t Zwaantje you can eat, sleep or just drink a cup of coffee. The inn is located on the woods and near the Mookerhei and is a popular destination for many hikers. It is the only catering company in Limburg with the honorary title of purveyor to the Royal Household, a title for companies that have existed for at least a century and have an excellent reputation.

The fifth generation is now in charge and the cordiality with which they responded to our rapprochement was extraordinary. The owner turns out to be involved in a nearby forest chapel and apparently combines entrepreneurial spirit with a sense of spirituality. The inn is not right on the route, but it is close to it. Runners who make a ‘walk of wisdom’ receive an offer: a ‘pilgrim’s package’. For the price of a normal room as an extra:

·         on  arrival a glass of Cloosterbitter. Text on the bottle: Enjoy the peace and quiet. Of the landscape. Nature.

·         A packed lunch for the next day: 2 sandwiches, juice box and piece of fruit
