Hans Esmeijer

Former deputy of Gelderland Hans Esmeijer has become a symbolic forerunner of the Walk of Wisdom by providing a page for our pilgrim book of hours Seasons of Life. 

Hans Esmeijer became a member of the Provincial Council of Gelderland in 1988 for the CDA and was also a member of the provincial executive of this province from 1999 to 2011. His expertise lies in the fields of education, culture and spatial quality. Mr. Esmeijer holds various board positions, for example he is chairman of cooperating municipalities in the decentralization of youth care and he is on the advisory board for the Nijmegen short film festival Go Short. He is also an ambassador for the Sobibor Foundation. 

We are pleased that influential people such as Hans Esmeijer are expressing their support for our book and our pilgrimage route and hope that his support will contribute to the emergence of a meaningful, new pilgrimage tradition in the Netherlands.
