Germination – group game grimage 2023 – report Manja
Our group game grimage 2023 was all about the theme “what is your germination capacity”. Co-coordinator Manja Bente guided the very rainy trip as a volunteer. With the proceeds we will finance part of our new book of hours On the way to wisdom.
Group Game Grimage 2023
What a beautiful trip we made together: Peter, Mirjam B, Yvonne, Roy, Marlon, Mirjam N and me. We have researched our own germination capacity and have been working on the elements of earth, fire, water and air along the way.” We walked in silence which gave peace to be busy with ourselves and in the evening after arrival we shared our experiences of the day. We formed a wonderful group together.
My intention at the departure ceremony was to “go into a flow” and that’s how it went. We braved the rain, but also embraced the sun that came out every now and then. We struggled with rain cape on and off, but often had somewhere to shelter from heavy rain showers. Even in a small shed of a house where Mirjam told us with great conviction that we really fit in – and we succeeded! We reflected, but also laughed a lot.
How beautiful nature was… The forests so green through the rain, ferns in full bloom in the German Reichswald. The Sint Jansberg in Mook with the streams and streams like a fairy tale. Due to the rain, we were mostly alone, which caused silence at this otherwise popular place, which was a special experience.
So many more beautiful things experienced together that we can’t all share………… It was beautiful!
The places to stay took care of us wonderfully with good food, dry places to sleep, so we didn’t have to lie in a tent. We were all so grateful for this.
Thank you: Sous Eglises for the festive breakfast; How nice that the hostess at the age of 88 still takes care of that. B&B bosrand for the delicious meals with flowers. Elizabeth and Rens van de Woeste Hoogte for the beautiful place and the stove that was burning for us when we arrived. Machteld and Ronald from the garden bird sanctuary in the Hatertse Vennen for your grand welcome in the cottages and the delicious meal. Karen and Pierre from mini camping Zus en Zus for the dry place to sleep. Adelheid and Huub van de Tempelhof in front of the place to sleep in their house. The monastery in Velp.
Thanks also to Ad & Iny for the mountain hut in Bergharen with the honesty bar where we could make a delicious cup of tea. It was a joy how everyone helped us pilgrims on this trip. Maybe thanks to the rain…
We started with the seven of us and all arrived back at the Stevenskerk in Nijmegen. It was a
Trip to remember!!
