From seedling to flower: plenty of colour on the route

The symbol Pilgrim of the Walk of Wisdom has two arms that represent the two leaves of a seedling. What a wonderful fact, because what power there is in a small seed that can blossom if you take good care of it.

For a number of years now, from March to May, we have been sending a small bag of seeds in the starter kit for pilgrims. It is important to us that we not only use and consume nature, but also give something back where possible.

What has become of all that seed that we have distributed? We got some pictures of beautiful flowers that came out of those seeds.

Have you planted the seeds as well? It would be nice if you also send a photo of the result to [email protected]

For example, we sowed about 600 meters of verge from the remaining seed on a somewhat boring stretch at the end of the route. That was a bit of a struggle in the warm sun, but how nice to see that these seeds have also sprouted despite the drought!

This year we got a lot of seed from the Ploegdriever. Thank you for this! Employees of Pluryn, an organization for people with complex problems, have packed the seeds. De Ploegdriever is a loving association that stimulates and implements landscape management. She supports farmers and country people in the Ooijpolder and around Groesbeek. For more information: www.ploegdriever.nl
