Freelance vacancy: co-coordinator (1-1.5 days per week) FILLED
Which practical idealist (f/m) wants to help build the incipient success of a young pilgrimage route?
The Walk of Wisdom Foundation wants to promote wisdom with a week-long pilgrimage route through diverse landscapes, with telephone and internet as much as possible. The route is independent of any religion and is based on the connection between people and nature.
We are looking for an enterprising co-coordinator who will help to put the route and the underlying ideas further on the map.
Co-coordinator job description
The Walk of Wisdom was born out of idealism and we want the work to be done by volunteers as much as possible to maintain our idealistic character and not become dependent on funds. Two coordinators ensure the continuity and inspiration of the foundation for 1 to 1.5 days a week. Thanks to registration fees and donations, we are able to pay them a fee.
The work for the foundation consists of a number of task areas for which volunteers take ownership based on clearly defined task descriptions and results. With the other coordinator it is your job to motivate the volunteers and where necessary to support or give direction and you ensure coherence. The foundation is still young and you have a lot of room to help shape the development.
Don’t see it as a job, but as a piece of inspiration for which you get paid something in addition to, for example, other work.
The tasks
- Joint management of the foundation with the other coordinator (+- 35 volunteers),
- Representation to the outside world (together with other coordinator),
- Accountability to the Supervisory Board.
Time commitment: 8-12 hours per week.
What do we ask for?
As co-coordinator:
- Are you inspired by the same values as the Walk of Wisdom,
- You can enthuse volunteers and you know how to delegate well, while you are happy to carry out work yourself or help out where necessary,
- Are you strong in networking and seeing new opportunities for the Walk of Walk of Wisdom at home and possibly abroad?
- You can write management documents for accountability to the Supervisory Board,
- Do you have HBO/WO thinking level, do you live around Nijmegen and are willing to connect with the Walk of Wisdom for two years with a trial of 3 months.
What we offer
- Opportunity to help shape an inspiring, young pilgrimage tradition with a relaxed, but enthusiastic volunteer organization,
- Flexibility: you can organize your own time and work largely from home,
- A monthly freelance allowance and expense report (not a commercial rate),
- We regularly clean up litter ourselves, put up nesting boxes and support local nature projects: it’s nice to contribute to this and thus raise awareness!
