First tastes of icon and pilgrim’s lace
The first samples of our icon and the pilgrim’s lace have arrived.
The icon Pilgrim is designed by the artist duo Huub and Adelheid Kortekaas. It conveys that all humans are seedlings of the earth, each with their own unique germination capacity. The artists themselves call the icon a ‘plant’ or angel and it is the patron saint of our route.
Here’s a picture of a 66 millimeter steel version, hanging from a leather lace. This lace is a model for the charm bracelet that pilgrims receive together with the icon with their starter pack. You can also hang other pins, buttons or ribbons on the lace during your walk of wisdom and in this way we hope that this ‘pilgrim’s necklace’ will grow into a meaningful memory.
By the way, the attentive viewer will notice that the head of the guardian angel and the legs are slightly bent compared to the template you see on this site. Well, that’s the kind of thing that happens when walking and lugging around a heavy bag. No one comes through the world unscathed!
Finally, we are not yet completely satisfied with both tests. We will publish the next versions on our site or Facebook page.
