First 75 pilgrim laces ready

A group of volunteers, led by Manja Bente, made the first 75 pelgirm shoelaces . Runners who sign up for a ‘walk of wisdom’ will receive the leather lace for the bag or on the wrist (or wherever you hang it). 

The lace is a creative variant of a stamp card and pilgrim’s passport: in each of the 11 municipalities along the route you can pick up a bird ring for the lace with the name of the municipality in question. At the end, this is your proof that you have walked the 136 kilometer route. You will also receive a personalized bird ring with the year of the Walk of Walk of Wisdom and a unique pilgrim number. We worked hard with a number of women to make all the laces that the first 75 pilgrims need. It felt old-fashioned cozy;  Manual labor all together around a large table and many hands make light work. After some chatting  and tinkering, after 2 hours there were 75 laces, ready for departure….. The pilgrim can now do the next job with this lace and walk the bird rings together (Manja Bente).
