Cultural terrace de Kaaij in Nijmegen has made 1 kilometer of the Walk of Wisdom possible. De Kaaij is managed by Leon Berkers, who also manages the monumental guest ships Orca and Granny Sientje. These two ships will be the first places to stay where pilgrims of the Walk of Wisdom will receive a discount. Would you also like to make 100 meters or more possible? Click here

Orca and Opoe Sientje are located in the center of Nijmegen on the Waal opposite the Ooijpoort pedestrian bridge. This bridge leads runners directly from the center of the city to the nature of the Stadswaard. The ships are also moored under the old Waal bridge where every year Cultural Terrace de Kaaij takes place, a cultural bazaar of anything but standard services and musicians.

Pilgrims who want to sleep in Nijmegen afterwards or before the 136-kilometre route can choose between a bunk bed in the cabin of Gastenschip Orca or a two-person cabin in Granny Sientje. Prices from 33 Euro per person including breakfast and tourist tax on presentation of pilgrim’s passport (icon plus pilgrim’s lace).
