Come to our orientation afternoon on 19 May
You are interested in walking the Walk of Wisdom or you have already received your starter pack: how do you turn your journey into a real pilgrimage route?
On Saturday afternoon, May 19, we will organize an orientation afternoon on walking the Walk of Wisdom. Developers Damiaan and Manja give a short presentation about what the route entails and talk to the participants about what motivates them to want to walk a pilgrimage route.
Questions that will be addressed:
- Is there a difference between a pilgrimage route and a long-distance walk?
- Do you walk the route in one piece or in parts? Alone or together?
- How do you arrange the overnight stays? Do you do that before or on the road?
- How do you add depth to your journey?
Damiaan and Manja give examples of other pilgrims and also offer you the opportunity to register on the spot so that you do not have to pay postage for the starter pack.
The meeting is at 14.00h in the center of Nijmegen, at the bottom of the hill of the Stevenskerk at reflection café ́é Open Slow. The café charges an entrance fee of €6,- – which includes consumption. If you want, you can join the pilgrim’s lunch of the café beforehand.
