Cleaning up 136 kilometres of rubbish – will you join us?

Did you also enjoy the nature at the Walk of Walk of Wisdom and do you want to help give something back? As a pilgrimage route, we are participating in a worldwide action to clean up the planet: World Clean up day, on Saturday 18 September at 10.00 am. Departure locations are yet to be announced.

Litter picking connects people from all walks of life: walkers or not. More and more people are cleaning up a part of the Netherlands on their own and sign up for a free litter package via Nederland Schoon (link). Many municipalities even provide free litter grabbers (Google free litter grabber and your municipality).

We want to take a few special steps on September 18 at 10:00 a.m., no less than 136 real green kilometers. Together with pilgrims, host families, volunteers and sympathizers, we want to pick up litter on and around our 136-kilometre route. This makes the connection between man and nature beautifully visible and allows us to maintain the beautiful landscape around Nijmegen. Will you join us?
