Also new mayor of Heumen ambassador

Marriët Mittendorff, who took office in May 2017, has become an ambassador for the Walk of Wisdom.

Mittendorff succeeds Paul Mengde. She is the first female mayor of the village of Heumen. The Walk of Wisdom goes through this municipality near Malden (including Heumensoord) and Overasselt (Hatertse Vennen).

Mrs. Mittendorff studied clinical pedagogy and was previously an alderman in Eindhoven for eight years, where she was involved in youth, sports, culture and safety. She was also interim vice chair of the national CDA board for a year.
