Affection on the Devil’s Mountain: open stage 21 June

Great news about the opening day of 21 June: troubadour Ben Dirks and his girlfriend Helma Mollenkamp are organising an open stage in the monumental villa Wylerberg on the Duivelsberg in the evening before the Walk of Wisdom. They do this without charging a fee. 

Ben and Helma have already organized the ‘Affection under Heaven’ 104 times in the vaults of city brewery de Hemel. These are purely acoustic evenings in which musicians are given the space to perform their own songs in a friendly atmosphere of attention. They are called ‘the Affection Duo’ and, in addition to their own, rich repertoire of songs, they have a large network among musicians in Nijmegen. Regularly there is also an open stage in their ‘Affection under Heaven’. 

For the Walk of Wisdom , they are now organizing an open stage on the Duivelsberg. This will be held from 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm and has the theme ‘nature’. Admission is free, but due to the limited number of places at this unique location (100), please register in advance. You can do so via this link. In the video they try out the acoustics of the concert hall of villa Wylerberg (images are jerky, it’s an impression).
