Acoustic duo “Messingh” will play at our departure ceremony on May 18

We are happy and proud that Helma Mollenkamp and Ben Dirks will play at our departure ceremony on May 18 at 10.00 am in the Nicolaaskapel in Nijmegen. Helma and Ben together form the acoustic duo MESSINGH and are the warm inspirers of “Affection under Heaven”, a music café in Nijmegen in the basement of the De Hemel brewery.

Ben and Helma have been connected to the Walk of Wisdom since the opening of our pilgrimage route. Helma is a pilgrim herself and made the music for our introduction film with Ben (see below). The departure ceremony starts on Saturday 18 May at 10.00 am in the 10th century Nicholas Chapel, 700 meters from our starting point, the Stevenskerk in the Valkhof Park in Nijmegen. From 09.45h you can join a silent walk from the statue of Mariken on the Grote Markt towards the chapel. The ceremony is free to attend and lasts half an hour.
