“A robin puts me back on the track” (José Rasenberg, pilgrim 954)

José Rasenberg lost her father at a young age. His biggest hobby was breeding birds to score high points at the annual exhibition in the village.

On her journey, José had to think of her father every time she saw a robin near her.

Birds flew with her and when she lost her way, a robin crossed her path. She thought it was almost ‘too’ beautiful. Below is the poem she wrote about her journey:

The Silence

The silence these 7 days are very quiet,

for anyone who wants it.

I relax as far as I want to go,

I can reflect on my life again.

The birds sing so purely,

that it makes me shudder from time to time.

For they are flying with me these days,

Even though I’m resting with a cup of tea.

They settle down when I’m walking in thought,

A robin puts me back on track.

When I thought I’d lost the path,

That moment made this trip perfect.

In these days 4 seasons passed,

I was also received in places very hospitable.

Many moments made this Walk of Wisdom complete,

In short, a trip I will never forget.

Hiking greetings,

Jose
