A guest at the Bahai’ – Peace Week – September 21
On Monday 21 September, the flame of peace with flame bearers and followers will be guests at the Bahai’ in conference centre de Poort in Malden from 18.00h. Those who have never heard of the Bahai and their perspective on peace can now take the opportunity to listen to what they have to say.
You can join us at 16.30h from the Zwaantje in Mook-Molenhoek to the Poort or at 18.00h join the meal that the Bahai’ prepare for us (register or more information). Choir Olam Haba will sing a number of songs and quote from a statement by the Baha’i World Centre, ‘The Promise of World Peace’. It outlines the obstacles that the Bahai see on the road to universal peace, as well as spiritual principles that the Bahai believe offer prospects for solving today’s social problems.
Olam Haba sings the following songs:
1. Siyahamba: We all walk in the light of God
2.May God’s blessing: May God bless you every day.
3.Creation : I loved your creation, therefore I created you.
4.In the garden: In the garden of thy heart, plant not but the rose of love.
5.This little light: We want to shine this little light for you.
And we end with a song with a text from Isaiah 2.4-2.5:
6. Lo yissa: “He will administer justice between powerful peoples, settling disputes between countless nations, no matter how far away they may be. Then they beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. No nation takes up arms anymore. Never again do we prepare for war.”
